Lloyds TSB Plug & Play

Challenge
Lloyds TSB had an urgent need to support their Staff and improve branch efficiency by providing them with additional printer/scanner/copier units. This ‘branch support’ initiative had tight budget and turn around requirements; with 250 plus units to be installed into 185 branches across their UK branch network.

Solution
We created a thorough survey & installation process to fit within a time frame of 9 weeks meeting the Bank’s deadline target. Utilising remote MDA technology our surveyors liaised with Lloyds TSB’s Operational Change Consultants & Branch Managers in the field to find the best solution for them and their local market; utilising existing networks & cabling, re-directing if necessary and recording of switch numbers & ports for IBM to open prior to our installation visit.
Upon unit checks and approval of survey data, installations were carried out without a hitch. The day following installations, all data was relayed to the Bank.

Outcome
• Staff are able to serve customers quicker – reducing queues and increasing customer satisfaction.
• Reductions in branch overheads, the units are economical and efficient.
• Machine downtime reduced as the programme incorporated live remote monitoring for maintenance & troubleshooting.
• Utilisation rates are also now monitored, ensuring Lloyds TSB are getting value for money.
Feedback from branch staff has been really positive in terms of our efforts and the greatly improved functionality delivered as a result, giving Lloyds TSB customers better service and making the business more efficient.
